Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Common Council of the City of Hot Springs, South Dakota, was convened on June 5, 2009 at the hour of 11:00 a.m. at City Hall, 303 North River with Mayor Don DeVries presiding.

Moved by Catlett, seconded by Pomrenke and carried unanimously to adopt Resolution 2009-21, a resolution declaring the results of the municipal election held on June 2, 2009.

| New Busines: |
Mayor Don DeVries opened the meeting and announced the purpose of the meeting was to canvass the votes cast at the municipal election held on June 2, 2009. Finance Officer Wait presented the affidavits showing publication of the notices of the election in the Hot Springs Star, the official newspaper of the City, as required by law. The Common Council then proceeded to canvass the votes of said election with the following results:
Alderman, Ward I-Two year term: Craig Romey received 50 votes and
Bobbie Jean Hamaker received 100 votes.
Alderman, Ward II-One year term: Don Patitz received 83 votes and David J. Burris received 147 votes.
Alderman, Ward III-Two year term: Jose Trinidad, received 66 votes, and Truman Savery received 135 votes. |
